The average time in1912 was twelve and a half hours, but by 1914 it was shortened to one and a half hours. Due to this, the cost of the Ford went down . This meant that the average working family could afford the automobile. This affordable car merged social classes.

As the 20's began in full swing, companies began to hire psychologists to understand how to entice the masses to buy their product. Results were brand names, slogans, mascots, and pictures that were used to advertise everything. $3 billion were spent annually on advertising by 1929 and five times more that in 1914.
